This has been our guiding philosophy from day 1. In fact, not many know, but before the OREA V1, we designed and almost launched a travel-specific foldable brewer. Our conclusion back then is the same as today - no one truly wants to own a brewer just for travel (ok - some edge cases may exist), but generally everyone would love it if they could easily travel with their favourite brewer. Filters were often an issue, and complex geometries imposed forms we did not love. We were just never happy with the results. So we never released them! We are now  on version 8, or 7, or 10 - we can't even remember to be honest. But that does not matter. What matters is that we have been thinking about this for a very long time, and we finally have a brewer with the right format for easy travel brewing. A tiny filter, easy to pack, a simpler form, a drip assist, and a compact size. A cup to brew into, taking up the smallest space. In this case you use an insulated bottle or a regular kettle (in a hotel room, for example) for pouring on the Melodrip. It is a simple tool that helps you shape almost any kind of filter (flat paper filter preferred) to the inside of our brewers. Bypass can cause blockages, slowing down brews. Unfortunately, it just resulted in others making their own clone of the tool itself, rather than adding to the ecosystem, but we did not stop opening our files as we made new versions regardless. Four years on, we have a first contribution that inspired the Tulip - as a paper folding guide that was first created by Lin from GX in Taiwan. We have adapted those ideas to make the Tulip - which is shared as a printable on our website's Printables section.
